      Jimmy,

I believe Scott Lindee (8358) in Mokena IL is or has kept an LT-1 registry.

I am the keeper of the NCRS 1970-72 LT1 Survey. It is not a registry, as the name and address of owners are not kept.
Also, this is not verification of genuine LT1's. Therefore VIN numbers are recorded but not disclosed.
The purpose of the survey is to help the NCRS update the TIMJG with running year changes to the vehicles and determine how the LT1's were optioned.
I have published the results periodically in the Corvette Restorer Magazine. The survey has been ongoing for over 30 years and there is still only about 25% of the 3 year LT1 production surveyed.
Attached are the latest survey summary results, as well as the survey form.

          Scott,
Thank you for all your hard work and for sharing your information.
One thing that jumps out are the 1972 LT-1 A/C statistics. Of the 567 cars in your survey - 192 of them had C60 Air Conditioning. That
is 38% of the LT-1 cars.
Common wisdom is they only made 240 LT-1 cars with A/C. Maybe that is where Jimmy was headed with this.
          Am I missing something here.??

The issue is the "Common Wisdom of only 240".
Nobody can say where that number comes from. I have ask many knowledgeable individuals about it.
No verifiable info about that number.
I have written a letter to GM about that, reply, "Information is not available"
            I absolutely do not believe the 240 A/C LT-1"s

So about how many LT-1 convertibles with A/C?

One thing to keep in mind is human nature. While I am not a psychologist I suspect we can all agree that those who own a 1972 LT1 with C60 are more likely to participate in the survey than other LT1 owners. Thus the number appearing in the survey will be skewed.

Referring to my summary posted earlier, 42 of the 192 LT1's with AC are convertibles.
Again, only less than a 1/3 of all 1972 LT1's have responded to this 1970-72 survey.
