Hi guys I have a 72 corvette with the original protect plate the vin numbers are correct on the block and plate but there is a six day discrepancy on the engine number. The plate says 0301 block says 0224 any ideas will be greatly appreciated regards

    Dennis,
The dates on your protect-o-plate should match your engine pad. Have you checked the dates of your transmission and rear-end with your POP?

If you are sure that your POP is original, you may have a re-stamped block.

I have to point out that for Flight Judging NCRS does not judge what is stamped on the PoP. We only judge that one is there for the glove box items.

That doesn't mean that your question is invalid; only that it doesn't matter for Jlight Judging.

This is what a 1967 POP looks like. It's still attached to the warranty booklet. This is the page with the plate and the page that was imprinted by the plate. As you can see, this car was delivered 5-6-1967. Did they still look like this in 1972?

There is no PoP printing on the opposite page on my 1970. Also the page with the metal plate is longer than the rest of the pages in the booklet so the the plate can be run through the imprent machine on the work order page for warranted work.
