70 BB Motor Mount Heat Shields no AC

Are the 1970 Big Block motor mounts supposed to have heat shields installed? No AC on the car. Both sides? I have a box of old fasteners and parts left over from when it was restored 22 years ago and there is an old bent one left over. Never knew what it was until now? Can they still be put on if needed?

The motor mount shields were installed for all 1970 big blocks. It was the "V" shaped spacers that were C-60 only.

Heat shield is on left motor mount only.

Does our NCRS judge this? Can the left side shield still be put on?
