Re: factory A/C duct replacement C2
A second question involves the attachment at the vent rear- the AIM refers to "tangs" at the hose entering behind the A/C pull knob. From under the dash this attachment seems quite solid, even though most of the duct has rotten off. Does this mean that there is no practical way to change the
duct from below?- Top

John, I'm not sure what you mean, when you say duct I think of the plastic but I assume you mean the hose when you say rotted off. I did mine about 20 years ago so don't remember much. I think when they say tang there are tangs built into the center dash outlet to retain the hose as no clamp is used. If I remember correctly one or possibly both of the AC controls are routed through that duct. I think I had my dash & glove box out at the time which helps. I would suggest pulling the glove box as that is simple to do (obviously dash isn't). It should be pretty straight forward since you do have the AIM for pictures. Good luck, Don H.- Top

Re: factory A/C duct replacement C2
yes I am referring to the hose. The one in particular question does have the A/C cable routed inside it.
Do we know exactly how to remove the hose remnant at the rear of the mid dash vent? It feels very solidly fixed.- Top
