What is this hole for? Is there a plug for it if it is not used?

    Guys,

Please take a look at this photo. Can you tell me what this hole is for, if anything? This is my 69 coupe non-AC car. If it doesn't have anything going through it is it plugged with a plug? Its the small one just behind the hood latch.

I think that hole is for manipulating the hood lock in case of a broken hood release cable. Remove the grill area between the hood and wiper door to access. I don't think there was a plug, but check your AIM to make sure. Chip.

Mike there is a plug installed in that hole, and the hole is for the purpose Paul mentions. Please buy a 1968-69 TIM&JG for all this information and more.
