Re: 66 Dealer album paint colors
While I don't know much about '65-'66 paint colors, most of the dealer books (as well as paint manufacturer books) have the colors ink printed on paper. That process results in a color that is only an approximation of the shade and hue of the original color. Since there is not enough color remaining on your car, may I suggest you seek out an original paint car in your color. Silver will be a problem because it oxidizes badly with time. You may wish to consult with John Ballard or Tom Aims regarding your efforts. I believe both are listed on the second page of The Corvette Restorer magazineLast edited by Terry M.; February 27, 2019, 10:38 AM.Terry- Top

Re: 66 Dealer album paint colors
Keith,
As Terry mentioned the colors are only an approximation. Theses are the 1964 colors shown in my pictures from my dealer's color swatch chart. The colors are what appear to be actual lacquer painted on a heavy oak tag cardboard paper. My '64 is Riverside Red and the Riverside Red color swatch shown on the attached picture is about 2 shades too dark. The closest one of all of them is the silver blue and it is even too dark. I'd contact Tom Ames to get the best help id getting the correct Silver Pearl color you need.
