C2 wiring harness replacement question

Hi folks- I have a new front wiring harness for my 1965 327 convertible with AC. I am trying to understand how to locate the connection for the portion entering the firewall below the wiper motor. As you'll recall there is a circular rubber grommet through which passes a main vacuum connection as well as this branch of the harness. I have been under the dash but I'm not sure where /how to locate the connector.

First, what is this branch connection and second, what is the best way to locate it? The other connections seem straightforward.

The branch you speak of enters by the wiper motor thru the grommet that the oil line and wiper motor wires go in and come out of. They go to the AC controls and temp controls above the radio and other points. I recommend DR. Rebuilds EZ wiring diagrams or your assembly manual C60 section for more detailed explanation.

I have the manual, see the grommet. How best to access the connector? Through radio speaker or slide dash out?
