I have a set of heads which I would like to determine the value for my L72 1966 Corvette. The GM part number is 3873858 and the casting dates are B36 and B286. I purchased them about 25 years ago and recently discovered they were stored at a friend of mines house. Since this is an extra set of heads I want to sell or trade them but am hoping to get an honest value as to what they are worth first. I would appreciate any feedback you have. I believe they were magna fluxed and/or pressure tested before I purchased them. Thanks!

Depends on what shape they are in, you might look on E-Bay to get and idea of what people are asking for them.

I have a ‘66 pair of the oval ports too. I was told by my friend at the engine machine shop that nobody outside the “original Corvette guys” wants them. Everybody else is looking for modern aluminum heads all done. The days of buying heads and getting them “done” is outside the cost of just buying brand new ones that put out so much more power. I use them to sit on the shelf in the garage.- Top
