    1963 Front Coil Spring Alignment

According to the AIM Section 3 Sheet 4.00, the top of the spring needs to be about 3/8" from the stop inside the top cavity. Would the spring align properly if a measured 3/8" from the bottom stop on the "A" frame? It would be a lot easier to manage the installation.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Jerry, I use the drilled hole in the lower part of control arm, the bottom of the spring sit in the middle of the hole. and that should put the upper part of the spring in the right position.

Thanks Ed. I will use the end of the bottom of the spring and split the hole for alignment.
