Don, I have to disagree, I know of many "real world" cars with push on knobs. Specifically, serial #'s 5962 (3 owners 51K miles) #9301 (3 owners 70K miles and untouched since 1974) #11015 (Same family owned since new) & one other in the #9000 range which was a 1 family owned car. All had the push on knobs.

Patrick, can you share the complete Radio ID Tag number and the last 5 numbers of the 64's VIN. I'd like to add it to my radio/VIN data base. A PM is fine.

Error in my post 19, 63AIM second line sb S1 sheet B26.00 heater control,
that shows the difference between an KNOB ASM and KNOB sorry.

For another data point, I just checked my two '63s. My very original low mileage mid May coupe has two push on knobs. My very un-original mid July convertible has one push on and one with a set screw - pretty typical of this car. It had Bubba all over it!

Sure Harry, Where is the tag number? Is that it on the front of the case in the picture?
