Were both the male and female deck lid latches yellow cad plated in '62?

Finally made it out back to take a second look at my deck lid latches.

Male latch definitely appears gold (yellow) cad but after lightly wire brushing the crud off of the female latch, it appears to be silver cad.

Does this sound right?

Hey Jerry, my latches we’re both yellow dichromate.... not sure what the manual says or production produced, but my old grudge original parts had traces of yellow, and that’s how they got refinished. See you on Saturday and you can check them out.
