You must be living right Hector. Nothing but good luck with that car. Good old Jim, he sure knows a lot of people in the hobby.
It looks like Mr. Revis passed away in 2005. And Waynesville NC appears likely for Mrs. Revis.
Perhaps a visit to Greenville SC and sidetrip to Waynesville in July is in order?

Man, those are names I have not heard in a loooong time. I bought my 1958 ailver blue/silver blue inca silver cove, 283/290 F.I., P.W., P.T. car from Richard that he had on consignment from Jerome at the Bill Jacob's owned Corvette & muscle car lot in Illinois that Richard managed back in about 1976/77. Jerome was a big collector bak in those days and he and Richard did a lot of business. I sold the car in 1985 to a guy in New Zealand.

'remember when Richard had the Penske GS roadster for sale-painted red with red interior? Long ago.

Great story, Jerome Shinkay had an incredible Corvette collection during the 70s/80s.

Jim found the original 7380 fuel injection unit for my 65 on Craigslist in 2014. Fortunately most 65's had the VIN stamped on the plenum. The VIN and the cars details were listed in his 65 FI registry with then current updates and ownership history. From there he contacted the then current owner and the unit was reunited with the car. That original unit had been stolen from the car in San Jose in 1968 as had been documented by the original owner.

He had it on display in a tent at one of the very early Bloomington Gold shows at the fairgrounds. It sounded amazing but I couldn't understand why it was painted red. Saw it again a few years later at Mid Ohio during the vintage races restored to Penske livery. I photographed it on the track. That will probably never happen again.

I was there and remember that. I remember Richard racing around the fairgrounds in the car as it was ready to go on the auction block if I remember correctly. That car started out as a coupe and was converted to a roadster. At the time car had Weber carbs with velocity stacks.
