    Fuel Pump Restorer

Looking for recommendations for a good source to restore my original 1968 40659 fuel pump. This one has the crimped base. This is the pump that was installed at the factory so I want it done right and want to get it back in a reasonable time frame. Want to avoid the Goat Hill and Chicago guys. Thanks

Call Volunteer Vettes in Knoxville, TN. They did one for me last year.

From the Corvette Forum C2 Section a few weeks ago:

      Fred Ballard
      Canyon Country, California 91387-1801
      661-251-2362

I do not know Fred or his work. But you can call him and discuss. There are only a few folks that do this work. Zip and CC and Paragon and Volunteer show rebuilt units in their catalogues, but I think they use Fred or Goat Hill or maybe another. for this work.

      For your info.

Arthur Gould did mine and seemed very good. It was a fuel and vacuum pump for a 54.

Fred Ballard did one for me, I would recommend him. He does 2 or 3 batches a year so you need to catch him when is is doing them.

Try A2Z fuel pumps in Fairfield Ill. They were highly recommended by a fellow NCRS member. Excellent results and great turn around. There phone number is on google. No website though.

Fred Ballard does all of our early GT350 (289 Ford) fuel pumps. I was not even aware that he was doing Chevrolet stuff, but it makes sense.

He's a great guy, and we have never had any issues with his rebuilds. He does a nice job cosmetically also.
