Going to look at a 1965 with fuel injection emblems. Looking up the vin and motor numbers given to me, I have been able to identify the motor is not original to the car. The current motor in the car is a L76 with HH on the pad (365HP). Is there any easy way to identify the body as an original fuel injected car?

See if the inside fenders show if the car ever had V flags mounted. They were not used on FI cars so if filled in equals carb car, not FI.1964 Red FI Coupe, DUNTOV '09
Drove the 64 over 5000 miles to three Regionals and the San Jose National, one dust storm and 40 lbs of bugs!- Top

A good indicator is the fender bonding strip area. Look from under the hood both sides at the fender and top skin and see if there are flag holes above the F I emblems. Also check to see if the top skin has been replaced, the color on the bare fiberglass will differ if changed.- Top
