Below the cast part number following what appears to be RH2 and before the large GM is a cast SCC....anyone know what that means?

Re: SCC on exhaust manifold
I know this is not the most meaty subject but I found another one of these with a GM parts tag which says this is an over the counter replacement manifold and, of course, is being sold as NOS. Also has what appears to be a date code to the face which is not correct.- Top

The manifold being sold as NOS actually IS. ALL NOS parts are SERVICE parts, not PRODUCTION parts. NOS parts may or may not be identical to PRODUCTION parts usually depending upon when they were manufactured. Almost by definition, PRODUCTION parts (i.e. those originally installed on a vehicle) cannot be NOS (unless, of course, they were originally installed on a vehicle and were removed before the vehicle was ever used). In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
