    1972 ac LT-1 convertible

So much for those that say our Corvette prices are going down the drain because the younger people don't want them. A 72 with a repaint that would be a second flight car with a repaint sold for 205,000.00 at BJ yesterday Cant wait to see what Ed's 72 with 2000 MI will do. Both LT-1's look the same.

      I saw that car sell.
      Didn't see it in person.
I was curious of the $205K selling price.

The only way I could see a 1972 LT-1 selling for anywhere near that price is if it was an original ZR-1.

          Hi Joe,
          This was a 1972 LT1 convertible with A/C.
          Could a '72 ZR1 have A/C ?

No, several options were NOT available with the ZR-1 package.
A/C was not available, nor were Power Windows, Rear Defroster, Wheel Covers, or either Radio option.

Here's the official description :This 1972 Corvette LT1 A/C convertible is powered by its original, matching-numbers LT1 350ci engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission and is equipped with factory air conditioning. This car was originally delivered to Herb Hallman Chevrolet in Reno, NV. It has its intact A.I.R. System and is highly optioned from the factory with power steering, power brakes, power windows, deluxe black leather interior, hardtop with a black vinyl soft-top, tilt and telescopic steering, AM/FM radio and RWL tires. Finished in Mille Miglia Red, this vehicle is in good overall condition with a rust-free frame and bird cage. It has received one repaint.

Did it have white wall tires? Radio, hearer? white wall tires?

The pics. on the BJ site show it has B.F. Goodrich T/A's, heater & radio. I can't understand the selling price.

I also saw it sell. A friend of mine has the same car except his is a coupe. The only explanation I can think of there were 2 people that wanted it? Don H.

So it sold for $132k, not $205k?

Still rich for an LT-1 in "good overall condition" and no pedigree mentioned.

Maybe it's a French Connection car with the stuff in the rocker panels...
