    1966 427 K19 carb

    Greetings all,
    Can anyone give some advice on a carburetor for my K19 car, I have a choice between a late October 1965 3606 and a 1966 April 3606, both carbs are correct aside from the metering plates. My question is would it be frowned upon in judging if I have the October 65 carb on my car instead of the April 66 carb? My build is june 66 but the October carb appears to be in better condition. Any advice?

      The October carb for your car is too early from a judging standpoint. You would need the April one to be within the 6 month range from the June date your car was built.

              Would like to know more about your car. Who was the selling dealer? From some of the information that I have there were only 25 Big Blocks made with Factory Air Conditioning and K19. Mine has a build date of June 19,1966. The selling dealer was Jack Head Chevrolet.
