'65 Coupe with A/C Correct Mounting Locations for fresh air pull knobs

I need a favor of someone with a 1965 coupe equipped with factory a/c to take a picture of where the left side fresh air pull knob and the rear vent fan pull knob is mount on the bottom of the instrument cluster. I don't think mine are in the correct locations.

    Thanks,

    James West

    Hi James,
Although these have been off many times I assume they are correct.

        James,
Picture from Don looks correct, with the left-side vent knob left of parking brake, and the rear duct vent/fan knob right of parking brake. I have also included a picture from my restored 65 coupe with AC, which after much ado, I was able to correct as seen in photo, based on 65 Corvette Assembly Instruction Manual (poor copy from Mid-America) page E271 (sheet C60-E7). Note that the headlamp motor switch is moved to the right for AC cars, causing all the rest of knobs to be moved over, with right-side vent knob missing.
        Best regards, Elliott

Sorry James, but for the life of me, I can not figure out how to insert a photo into this page. (NCRS, are you listening?)

          Elliot
NCRS isn't listening, but I am. This is from the FAQs accessed by the link in the smallest tool bar under the club banner at top of any webpage.
'Photos can be posted by clicking on the image in the editor screen..This will bring up a box where you can browse on your computer for the image you wish to upload, or you can upload an image from a URL.
URL is a link directly to the photo from a location on the internet.'

The editor screen is the row of icons above the text box in which you write a post. Choose an image file from your photo album in your PC or MAC, then upload it. If you need to practice this a little, go to the TEST forum and practice uploading images. It is really a very simple process. Don't hesitate to pm or email me if you need help.

Thanks Elliott for the input. My headlight switch is in the correct position for a car equipped with a/c. Starting to go through the '65 TIMJG page by page to get this car ready for the 2020 National Convention where I hope to have it judged after going through the chapter and regional meet judging. The car is mostly un-restored but has had one repaint in 1977, new seat covers and new front carpets. Not going for a high point top flight as I drive my cars to all NCRS events. I'll pick up a few mileage points for driving the car since my son and I will be participating in the road tour as we did in 2013, 2014 and 2015. He is now able to drive and wants to drive the car in the road tour.

            Regards,

            James

Thanks Don, I will give it another go.
(Verrrry interesting, because the browse tag did not show up last time I tried.)

Nevertheless, now James can see the whole picture from my dash. Note that the headlamp-motor switch is moved quite a bit away to the right from the cold AC register. I suppose the design team did not want the switch to be chill cycled, if it were left in original position. However, the new mounting position for the switch appears to be an impromptu modification to lower cast dash panel edge (not too elegant). BTW, because of all this moving things around, the rear duct vent/fan control cable for the AC coupes is a bit longer (different P/N) than for the non-AC coupes.

My 1965 has telescopic column and it sticks out rather then down.

Thanks James, yes mine does have the telescopic steering column, and I was not aware of that difference. It seems that the custom assembly of the C2 went well beyond the 63's.
