Can you comment on the installation of my bumperette and license plate assembly. Does it look correct to you?

After 44 views, I thought I should be more specific. In the picture you can see the top of the license plate at the same height of the crossbar.... I have searched the web and seen 62s like this but I have seen others who are lower. Not sure it gets lower unless it was shimmed.

FWIW here is a photo of my '62 from back in the 80's. Also look at Nolan's Rest Guide on pages 318 and 319. Based on these it looks like yours may be just a tad high unless it's the angle. No idea off hand how to lower or if it would be worth it.
Your car's looking great by the way. Need to stop by and visit.

Looks about right to me. My 62 Bowtie car was the same color as yours.

Some of the cars you see with the lowered bumperettes and license plate holders have the wrong bumper braces...they are running earlier C1 braces designed to deal with the grill teeth. My 61 was wrong when purchased. I always say you should just be able to get your forefinger between the crossbar and the bumperette. BEFORE AND AFTER PICS attached. I too think the OP's are a bit high...

Thanks Jerry and David. Jerry in your picture it appears your bumpers are adjusted to be raised to the top of the openings, where David and mine are centered. There are a few ways to change the height of license plate assembly. You can shim under the mounting bracket as it mounts to the front cross member. The other thing that effects it is the length of the cylindrical spacers for the two bumperette mounting bolts.
