    C2 Clutch and Flywheel recommendations

This is for a C2 small block engine build.

I need a clutch kit and flywheel. From researching here I think I will likely go with the following:

LUK clutch kit 04-021 (strange price range NAPA $121.99 and Rockauto $70.99)
LUK flywheel LFW131 (again strange price range NAPA $94.49 and Rockauto $52.79)

Are the LUK parts OK, or are there other recommendations?

    Thanks,
    Don

Luk is good. But I’d prefer to resurface the original flywheel. Too many horror stories on bad vibrations after flywheel change.

        Don,

You are correct. It is a big swing in cost between NAPA and Rock Auto but not surprising. I have found that in most cases Rock Auto can be anywhere from 25 to 75 percent cheaper than many of its competitors; especially with regard dealership prices. I have always had good luck with Rock Auto supplied parts. Wish you success with the build and let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

          Thanks Gene,

Unfortunately I do not have an original flywheel. The engine came out of a passenger car with an automatic transmission.

Call Paragon-they have used parts for sale; or swap meets or salvage yards.

Be sure to press in the correct pilot bushing.
