Both of my '65 Protect-O-Plates have a space between the engine suffix and the Holley designation. But Drew is spot on. I've seen the (H)olley very close to the suffix before too.

Correct Darryl. They're both 350hp Corvettes. Mike

Here's a mirror image of my POP for a 67 327/300HP june 26 engine. Has the HEH

When my Navy roommate Don was going to get married and his wife to be told him to "get rid of the vette and get a nice family car", I traded my Renault 10 for it in Dec,1968. Been meaning to get in touch with Don to ask him how my Renault 10 is doing, I still have his 67 Corvette.

I guess soon to be Mrs. Paulino established who would be wearing the pants in that house pretty quickly. And Don said "yes dear".
She probably told him to get rid of that silly French car in short order too, and get something more reliable, like a Chevy.
I'll bet, if he is still alive he can't remember owning your Renault, and still regrets selling that 67 Sting Ray he bought new.
                Don't call him.

                  Jerry,
That story really hits home for me. In 1971 when I was looking for my 69, the fellow I bought it from said his fiance said "It's me or that thing" so he sold it to me. and I still own "that thing". Given that ultimatum my response would have been "I'm gonna miss her".

I think it is a good thing for those of us who are long-time Corvette owners that our spouses do not read this discussion.

We had a friend who sold a 1966 427 big-tank coupe for almost nothing during the early 1970s gas crisis at the demands of his wife. She left him soon afterward.

As you know, Terry, some of us wives love Corvettes too.

Sort of like the story. I guys wife was complaining that he should sell the Corvette & use the money for the house. After a while of this he said to her "you are sounding like my X wife & his wife said you never said you had a X wife" He told her I don't but if you keep talking like that I will.

                          Don,

I also had to give him $2500 with my 67 Renault 10 worth $1000. So I paid $3500 for an 18 month old car. Some people told me then that I got stiffed, but I don't think so now.

When I got out of the Navy in late 69, I went home to Hollis NY for a short time. Then packed everything I owned it the 67 convertible/w hardtop and moved to California. Thus the luggage rack and Samsonite, as the convertible top took precedence over clothes in the back of Corvette.

I know that very well. As you know also, I get some women in the AJS, and in many of those cases it is the man who would "take a hike." That is why I used the non-gender specific term "spouse" in my post.
