    68 435 vs 69 435 alternator amps

Just curious as to why the amps for the 68 L71 is 42 and the amps for the 69 alternator is 61. Why the change in 69? Thx

I can only guess that it was somehow related to the change from "DN" series alternator for 1968 to "SI" series alternator for 1969.
