OK, I know this has been asked many times before but I am going to ask it again. I've searched the archives but have not found a definitive answer to who has the best rebuild kit for a 4657 fuel pump. It has to be ethanol friendly. I've heard of Arthur Gould, Jackson's Old Time Parts, O'Riiey's, and NAPA to name a few. I'm hoping NAPA as Joe Ray once suggested. Anybody got any updates?

Re: fuel pump rebuild kits
Perry,
I can't answer your question except to say I overhauled my 4657 pump with a Paragon kit and have never had a problem.
That being said if there is a fuel pump diaphragm kit available from NAPA that's the way I would go. When I did mine I recall leaving the check valves in tact plus i reused the stock spring above the diaphragm.- Top

Re: fuel pump rebuild kits
The spring sets the outlet fuel pressure. I have a spring tester I used to inspected the stock spring and the one in my rebuild kit. They weren't even close. I believe using the stock spring is good advice.- Top

Arthur Goulds business was sold to a new owner and they are now located in Western Mass.
They dis a 4657 for me and did a great job all around. Very reasonable. It was $100 plus shipping. Since then they have successfully done several for local NCRS members.
It's worth a call. Google will get you their contact info.- Top
