    Holley carburetor question

Why do some of the Holley's have the air vent on top of front bowl and some do not? I'm talking C2 vintage small block carbs in particular.

I don't think it is necessarily a change related to when the carb was introduced.

I noticed that a 1965 Corvette L76/L79 list 2818-1 does not have the vent, but a 1965 Chevelle L79 list 3043 does have the vent.

    Thanks,

    Don
