1957 Emergency brake bracket dash bolts

The AM shows the flat washers on top of the dash brace not under the heads of the bolts like you would think . Here is a picture of Bill Conrads original untouched bolts and washers .Clearly show the washer between the bolts and the bracket. Notice the bolts are plain head . I had several of these bolts on my car when i took it apart. Body bolts.trunk and convertible top cover .

the hex head bolts with the central papule you posted are typical of the e-brake bracket. I believe the flat washer are more appropriate as you have them located in your photo. mike
