Hi all,
I am getting ready to install the gauge cluster reinforcement bracket that goes behind the dash cluster area in the 1957 Corvette Race Car (VIN 4062) I am restoring. The dash is new, but was on the car when I got it. The horizontal reinforcement bracket along the lower inside edge of the dash is installed.
When I look at my other '57 (VIN 4403) also under restoration, I see that the gauge/dash cluster reinforcement was installed FIRST and part of it goes UNDER the horizontal bracket.
So, before I start taking rivets out to remove the horizontal bracket to put the gauge area reinforcement in, I wanted to see if anyone had any tips to make this easier. Or was this gauge cluster reinforcement added between VIN 4062 and 4403?
Thanks,
Bob
