    67 BB Hood

    Can anyone help to tell or show pics of correct stinger hood on the underside
    some tell mine is but nut sure

      Bjorn,

      I see a different in the rivets. But, I cannot comment on what that means, if anything.

        It is the second generation GM service replacement part. The rivets are different, and if you look at the fairing of the underside support and the hood panel, you see no excessive bonding adhesive. Typical factory production has the flat rivets (not rounded) and the fairing is done so that you can't see the space/gap where the underside framework meets the hood top panel.

        The third generation GM service replacement part is the one piece molded hood with all of the ribs on the underside and not a two piece construction.

          I am sure the current repro hoods use the wrong rivets as well

            thanks for the info
            Very helpful, so that means there should not be a gap as on my hood , but flat and smooth
