On AC DELCO "pull-the-string" boxes, are there any decodable entries on the outside of the box that might indicate "When" the item was boxed? Thanks.

Re: Nos - ac delco
Hi Loren -- here's a few data points. On the 1116368 volt regulators (which I'm sure are the one's of your interest), here's two. Unfortunately, nothing externally [before string pulled], but inside, there's a dated installation sheet along with installation hardware (screws). My earlier VR body is stamped 4K (November 1964) with instructions dated 11-20-64. The later 368 body is stamped 6A; unfortunately, original instructions are lost.

Wayne, I think you're the only guy that has a "herd" of TI VRs. The 368 Instruction sheet I have is DR-8149 dtd 9-15-64 and is one sheet, both sides. The one I have for a 378 is DR-5010 dtd 2-1-66 and is 4 sides due to its "service replacement" status, ie "When replacing regulator models 1119506, 1119512, 1119515, 1119516, 1119519, or 9000595.....". It would appear
that the UNSTATED instruction would be "Do not attempt until you have read the instructions AT LEAST TWICE.".- Top
