2019 Judges Training Retreat Registration Closes on 12/15/18

Registration for the 2019 Judges Training Retreat will close on 12/15/2018. Group 1 is sold out. But, there are spots available in Group 2. Do not get shut out. Registration will not be extended beyond 12/15. We only run this event once every three to five years. It is a great learning experience, and you will earn 20 judging points for the weekend. For details, see page 95 of the current Driveline, or the cover of the September-October Driveline. If you are unsure about attending, ask a friend who has attended, or perhaps some past attendees will weigh in here.

It is an excellent experience, the teachers and cars are top notch and you will learn the right way to do everything about judging, with lots of time to concentrate on it. This will be my second one (2013 was the first) and I am looking forward to it. Highly recommended.

Hi David, what would be the process for accepting cars to use during this event? My brother and I have a 4-Star '67 L36 we'd consider donating for the weekend if timing/scheduling worked out.

I have attended 2 retreats as a student and the last 2 as a instructor I have learned a lot and improved my knowledge and judging of the cars we all love. It is worth while for anyone contemplating attending. It is time well spent. Dave spends a lot of time scheduling the classes and organizing the retreat and the test judging of the cars.
Daniel are you and your brother registered? The Metro_LI Chapter has 8 or 9 members attending It is always a great experience .

I attended in 2016 as a student, and am going in 2019 as an instructor.
I also heartily recommend this experience for owners!
As an owner, you ought to be aware of the procedures being used to evaluate your car.
Judges are far from perfect (and most will admit that).
Knowing the judging matrix and procedures as well as you know your car is an important factor in getting the maximum results at a meet.

Dan, sorry but I don't know why there would be a delay. I think that Dave B has to do some juggling of names to even out the two sessions, so perhaps the last confirmations will go out after this weekend.
