    63 Seatbelt Installation

    Hello everyone,

I'm installing seatbelts in my 63. Can anyone tell me if there are any washers that go on the bolts that screw into the floor or is it just the metal seatbelt tab and the bolt?

    Thanks, Kenneth

According to the assembly manual it is just the special bolt. 3797466

Clean the threads on a wire wheel and apply a dab of anti seize compound on the threads - just a dab - before inserting.

I like anti seize, but don't get it on your hands it spreads like wild fire. if gets on the belts it will not come of easily. like Ed say a very small amount.

Exactly! Actually, what I did in this case, and I suggest that Kenneth do the same, is apply a "dab" to the female threads of the installed bracket rather than applying it to the threads of the bolts - same end result, a lot less chance of messing up the fabric of the belts or carpet.

I ran a tap through to clean up the threads before I installed the bolts. They can be very difficult to remove without breaking the nut off the bracket.
