    1990-91 Hazard Warning Light Operation

We are finishing updating a new 1990-91 Judging Manual and we are still asking questions about the operation of the Hazzard Warning Lights in conjunction with applying the brake. This question is for 1990-91 vehicles only as we have established the correct operation for 1992-96.
With the Hazzard Warning switch engaged and the brake lights flashing and then the brakes are applied, what happens to the flashing lights. Do they continue to flash or do the brake lights go a solid red as under normal brake application?
In addition with the flashers on and the brake applied does the Upper (Third) Brake light come on or does it stay off.

I know we have hashed this around before, but we want to get it right.
    Thanks for any input.
    Thanks, Pat

Pat, just now check my 90 and with key on, and hazard lights on, with brake applied the lights continue to flash. The 3rd brake light comes on when brake applied with very, very slight blinking. Ed

Ed, thanks for the response. Your information is right on with what we have discovered so far. I attended the Florida Chapter's Meet today and we had a 1990 ZR1 with about 1,000 miles on the clock and a 1989 in Sportsman that all operated as we now have pretty much concluded that this is the correct operation. We were off on a different path because of 1990 ZR1 that was judged in Lakeland last year. Thanks to folks like you and the other judges through the country we have settled on the correct representation for the revised 1990-91 Judging Manual which is now in progress.
By the way it was 70 degrees and sunny for the Chapter Meet.
