63 Coupe Door Skin

I've reached out to some of you individually but I figured I'd post also.

I need to replace the lower section glass on my 63 coupe LH door. There was a very bad repair done sometime in the 70's. It's a power window door.

I've been looking for about 6 months and can not locate an NOS door skin. I can find NOS convertible door skins. Here is the question, is the 63 convertible door skin interchangeable with a coupe door. I know there is a slight difference berween the two above the door handle.

What is the difference between a power window door skin and a non power window door skin?

JR, there is no difference. I'm trying to avoid taking a non-P/W door and moving all the P/W parts and cutting a hole for the wireing. Replaacing the skin is easier and quicker.

Harry, the Oct '62 Pts Bk Grp listing 10.351 and the illustration on pg 1312 both indicate that the "Panel, side door outer left" for coupe and convertible is 3797013. I would caution you to find out what the part #s for 1964, because when the coupe door changed in 1964, they might no longer be assembled the way it was in 1963; ie, the '64 convertible panel may be different and that is what the sellers have.

Loren, I agree. As I recall, starting in 64 the door skin was one piece.
