    63 327/340 Oilpan

I recently replaced the original (and correct) oil pan on my 63 327/340 engine. The original one had lots of dings likely from someone trying to raise or support the block at some time. Reforming metal is somewhat of an art and there are lots of profile tools out there for that task which I don't own and do not care to purchase. Anyone have a recommendation for a company that would do this type of repair?

I took mine to a local machine shop and they straightened it out at no charge.

          Joe,

Good point! No, it does not look like new after the repair. The main dent in the middle of the pan was pushed out, but there are still obvious signs that something was done to the pan. Thanks for prompting this clarification.

Looks like the pan I have is not worth restoring. I contacted Richard Fortier (#82) an the extent of the damage would make any repair unlikely.
