1963 Door Panel Window Crank Dust Shields.

Do they belong on top of the vapor barrier.... or under the vapor barrier?

Recently pulled both door panels from my 63 convertible..

Found that the passenger's side had both dust shields behind/under the vapor barrier.

The driver's side had both dust shields on top of the vapor barrier.

Can't find anything in the AIM. It's a small point, but which is correct?

    Chuck,
    See AIM Sec 1 sheet E14.00, #2&19 or Sec 1 sheet E15.00 #5&6 E15.00 shows paper (#15) already on before #5&6 added.

Thanks, Alan. I must have missed it.

Found it odd that I had one side one way.... and the other side... the other way.

I've had those doors apart many times, so I am the one who put them in the wrong place on the passenger side.

Yeah - that's the only thing that really makes sense anyway...

It was an easy switch. Peeled back the vapor barrier, pulled them off, restuck the vapor barrier, and slipped the dust shields over the outside.

          Thanks to all.
