c2 hood relase cable broken on pass side

I was sure I read a restorer article on opening the hood when the cable broke. Does anyone know the restorer date or link to article.

Jeff had this go a couple of times - remove the splash shield - if you can get it up on a ramp it makes it easier - then get your flash light - put it in your mouth lol - while you hook over the plate, normally the rubber on the hood will click the hood up - have fun - I always keep my trusted stick in the back of the vette - Keith
