St Louis Area Corvette mechanic recommendations... 1982 air conditioning /e-module

I have a 82 collectors and have had a time with my airconditioning. I live in the St. Louis area and have had a number of people convert the coolant, belts, change compressor... and still not working. I don't run it much but sure enjoy it when its hot.

The issue is: 1. it doesn't blow through the vents (only out the floor)
2. doesn't blow cold air now and have had new compressor and fittings and coolant
3. the compressor kits on and off every 3-5 seconds.

any recommendations would be awesome.

Shane, there must be a vacuum hose of under the hood that supplies vac. for the doors to switch nose around under hood and look for small dia. hose unhooked or broken. the cycling of the compressor maybe one or two things, the amount of the charge may not be correct, and when converting your a/c system from r12 to r-134 you generally want to switch the low pressure switch to a r134 switch which will help with the compressor from cycling so much. r-134 runs on lower pressures which cause the cycling on and off of compressor.
