    56 Corvette Light Switch Fuse

I am almost embarrassed to ask this question: I burned out the light switch fuse on my 56 putting in the new wiring harness. I tried NAPA and some other places to no avail (thinking that this might be an easy task). I believe that the fuse that I need is a 5/8" long, 3 amp, number 445635 fuse. Where do I get these? Thanks in advance! Mark

Lots of auto parts stores still sell them. Here's a link to an online supplier; a pack of 5 costs about $1.30.

The fuse you need is one made by Buss, called AGA-3. I have some AGA-5 (5 amp) fuses in my spare parts. If you can use one, PM me your address and I'll mail you one.

Jeff: Thank you very much for your generous offer! This is one of the huge benefits of being in this organization; with people helping others. I searched several auto stores; and most of them had the modern blister packs of fuses and no 3 amps. There were 20 amp fuses this size; but no 3s. I was told that some blister packs would give you a variety of fuses with one 3 amp; however, I did not see any of these. After an extensive search, one store owner went back in the store and searched his old boxes. Out he came with that little Buss slide box with five 3 amp fuses in it. He asked me if I wanted one; however, I told him that I would take the box of five. I am hoping that this will solve one of my issues on the new wiring harness. Sincerely, Mark
