Florida Winter Regional new dates.

The Florida Chapter Winter Regional dates have changed. Thanks to an offer from Lance Miller we are changing to 21-23 February 2019 which coincides with the Spring Carlisle Autofest at the Sun N Fun facilities in Lakeland. We feel this change will benefit the NCRS members, vendors and participants and will present an exciting opportunity to grow both shows.

Details are still being finalized and will be posted in the next Driveline. We expect registration to open on or before 1 November 2018. We will use this post to provide necessary details as they are worked out. Also Check out the "National Corvette Restorers Society - Florida Chapter" page on Facebook or Web site for current info.

Schedule in the Driveline, page 3 has staging of judged cars on Wednesday the 20th, Thursday operations checks Friday & Saturday the 22nd & 23rd flight judging awards presentation at 4pm Saturday, security ends 5pm Saturday

What is the cost to attend as a spectator?
Carlisle is now up to $20.00 per day.

Regular spectors pay the daily admission. As of now (STC) those who register for the NCRS Regional to have their car judged and for those participating in judging and attending the judging schools, each registrant will be given to weekend passes and two passes for the car auction. This is what is published on the Carlise web site. This regional is a completely new event for the Fl. Chapter and we are the guests of Carlisle Productions. Our activities at this time will be limited to Hanger D for judging and the Piedmont Room for the judging schools. Our judges lunches will be handled like they were at the Las Vegas Convention since there are many food vendors thru out the Carlise flea market area.

I must have been hearing things, when a Lady was telling me the Lunch Boxes in Las Vegas were $40 a person? What can we expect to pay in Florida? Do we pay the Board/Judges per diem ?

I must have been hearing things, when a Lady was telling me the Lunch Boxes in Las Vegas were $40 a person? What can we expect to pay in Florida? Do we pay the Board/Judges per diem ?

Yes, I believe the $40.00 is an accurate number. These box lunches were brought in for the crew's that were setting up, measurig and taping the floor to park the cars. Based upon the cost of the box lunches the judges were handed $$$ at breakfast to go off and purchase lunch where they wanted. It actually worked out very well for the National budget and the judges.

That is correct. In Las Vegas the hotel charged $40 for box lunches. The were however 5 restaurants where you could eat for less than $20 so we gave each judges $20 and they could eat wherever they chose. To your last point. No the Board does not receive per diem. They pay for their own meals when traveling.

The price of daily admission I believe is $10. All NCRS members who want to receive judging points must register online with the Fl. Chapter. Vendors or those wishing to participate in other activities at the event must register with Carlisle Productions seperately.
