I have a steering wheel that looks correct except it is 18" diameter, any idea what it is for? looks corvette only thanks RDR

Passenger car of that era. Everyone once in a while there will be one advertised as a Corvette wheel, trying to get a novice to pay Corvette pricing for a much more common piece.

I suppose a 1953 or 54 pass car.

its a pass car wheel that's been modified to resemble a 53-55 wheel( Bondo to fill in the area between hub and 1/2 way out each radius). mike

Sorry to hear that. An original steering wheel is in the $700 range. Hopefully you will get satisfaction. If Mary Jo is not responding to email try her phone 858-451-1933.

There are companies that I ran into at the swap meets in the LA area that will cut down a passenger car wheel and make it the correct diameter. Still with the resto mod market so strong there should be correct steering wheels flooding the market.
