exhaust system doesn't fit?

Hey Guys, I am replacing the mufflers on my 58 fuel car. I ordered a set from corvette central. the pipes are a little bigger than the ones on the car. had to order new front pipes and tail pipes? i would think they were all a standard size. Pipes were on the car when I bought it so I don't know who manufactured them? Has anyone else run into this problem?

I have used CC exhaust on a 1960 and 1966 and was happy with both. Neither was perfect but with a little work they both turn out looking good. I used the aluminized sets.

Bruce, had same problem years ago, had stock OEM mufflers and CC pipes woudn't work, you'll need a full set for them to work together.

Thanks Dan, i have ordered all the pipes. Shame since nothing was wrong with the pipes. You know how it goes with these cars. nothing is simple and easy. Thanks. Bruce
