63 Corvette fan w/AC

There has been many threads about 63-67 Corvette cooling fans but I still have a few questions about AC cooling fans on 1963's.
Were 63 Corvettes w/AC issued the 18" fan (GM # 3789562) on the assembly line or were they simply issued the standard 17 1/8" fan (GM # 3770529)?
As far as I know AC was an option on only late 63's or am I wrong?. I believe that all fans in 1963 had "dome" head rivets.
I have owned several 3789562 fans (18", 5 blade, "H" for Hayes-Albion) over the years and they all had 4 "flat" head rivets per blade and were factory installed on 66-67 Corvette models 327 w/AC. I also have had several 3749576 fans (18", 5 blades, "H") with "dome" head rivets and listed for 58-63 Chevrolet Pass. w/AC, 61 Pass. (348), and 61-63 Pass. (327,409) models in my vintage 63 Chevrolet Parts Catalog (Oct. 1963). There is no listing for a fan for a 63 Corvette w/AC in this catalog. The 63 Corvette AIM lists GM 3789562 as the fan for models with AC. Is there such a 3789562 fan with 4 "dome" head rivets per blade or is there a 3789562 fan with 5 "dome" head rivets per blade? I have been confused about this for many years.

You might want to connect with Harry Sadlock for answers to your questions. He has a 63 with AC and has been doing a lot of research on the subject.

Attached is a photo of a 18" 5-blade fan, GM # 3749576, with 5 dome head rivets per blade stamped "H" and "FRONT", 3" bolt circle, 2 3/8" hub hole. Back in the 1980's you could find these fan at swap meets.......not so much any more.

Best I can tell all 63 cars had the same fan C60 or non-C60. I know an 18 inch fan was called out for C60 but as I mentioned there is no evidence I can find that one was ever installed. I put one in just for the additional cooling capacity.

Thanks for responding. I believe Andy from NJ told me that same thing many years ago. I believe that the AC option came late in the 1963 production year and I assume that there were probably no 18" fans ready to install on the assembly line.
