For Duke - too much ZDDP?

Duke, I keep reading threads where guys are putting ZDDP additives in with other ZDDP additives with oil that already has sufficient ZDDP in it, so my question is, is there such a thing as too much ZDDP? I already know they're wasting their money, but that's none of my business. I'm just curious as to what these huge amounts of ZDDP would do to engines and components.

I believe GM did a technical paper about the negative effects of too much ZDDP. Duke or others may have a link or have the paper. I want to say that corrosion was the issue, but I cannot remember all of the details at this point.

Duke is at the National Convention in Las Vegas, at least he was on Sunday last. Due to the other activities here he may not be monitoring this site on as regular basis as usual. Be patient.

I’m sitting with Duke right now and showed him the article in Larry Mulder’s post.
Duke said the info contained therein is accurate concerning ZDDP.
