Boy, I hate to be the bearer of this type of news. Just read this over on the Corvette Forum. Joe Ciaravino died in a car accident on Saturday...driving his beloved '65. Words can not express my shock and sadness. Joe was always willing to help with his vast knowledge. I will miss his wit, as well. Godspeed, my friend.

Re: Devastating News
Shocking news and it greatly saddens me. Joe was a guy that I'm REALLY going to miss. I can recall having dinner with him at the awards banquet at the last National Convention in San Jose, CA. He made me laugh harder than I can ever remember laughing (it's really hard to get me to laugh). Joe, I'll look forward to getting together with you again someday. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Devastating News
Joe L,
I'm really saddened to hear about Joe Ciaravino. Although we lived on different coasts, i remember flying back east to meet him for NCRS National and Regional Events. I remember the awards banquet at San Jose and the laughs we had. I first met Joe in 2007 and drove his 85 from NJ to Marlborough for the 2007 Convention. That's when I first met you and John Hinckley. Joe and I went with you to your lobster fest in Essex.
RIP Joe Ciaravino, I will miss you.Jerry Fuccillo

Yes, I think I have some photos of that event on an SD memory card at home. When I get home from this trip, I'm going to check that out. If there are photos of Joe (and, as I recall, I think there are), I'm going to have them greatly enlarged and I'll hang them in my room.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Joe L.
Here's one I have of us at the 2009 San Jose awards banquet:
I had gotten my Founders on my 67 earlier in the week and Joe had gotten his Crossed Flags on his 85.
And here's one from the 2007 Boston National, our lobster feed in Essex:
Great memories of both of you guys.Jerry Fuccillo

Re: Devastating News
Best wishes Dave.
The pics I posted on CF are the way I'll always remember Joe. I remember you from the 2007 National as well as meeting up with you guys on the Road Tour to San Jose in 2009 in my 67.Jerry Fuccillo

Re: Devastating News
Joe wasn’t always good about remembering to keep his membership current but he was a good guy with long history and many friends in the club.
His tragic and sudden passing is shocking and painful to many of us. He will be missed. May he RIP.- Top
