A/C Pressure Switches

I need to replace an A/C Pressure Cycling Switch on a 1988 Coupe. Does system have to be evacuated or does switch connection have a schrader valve on it. Also, does anyone know where I can find a NOS switch? GM has discontinued the part.

Ron, have you tried a local auto parts store, Ebay may also be another source. I cannot be sure about the switch But believe it does have a Schrader valve. the new switch will give you a clue just look at the end, if it has a plastic push button then it will have a Schrader.
