'65 AC Drier & STV Restoration Recommendations

Starting to restore my '65s AC system and would appreciate anyone's recent recommendation(s) on restoring my AC drier and suction throttle valve. If so, please let me know . . .
    Thanks.

Ray, unless the STV is a complete mess with grease and paint try rebuilding it yourself. All you need is lots of alcohol and a new disphram. An NOS one would be the best. It is spring loaded so use caution when taking it apart. Clean everything and blow it out to dry. I did mine in my 63 and it's been fine since installed. The drier is different. I sent mine to Dom in California to check. All was fine so he just capped it and sent it back. The shop in Florida or the one in Texas can rebuild them, They cut them open, add new guts, then weld them back together. Their names are in the archives and I'll look for Dom's contact information.

      Harry,
Thanks for your recommendation feedback. I've already talked to Dom about restoring my AC compressor. I'll do a follow-up call with him on my drier. With regards to my STV, is there any restoration documentation available to help me restore it?

I used the shop manual. Instructions were pretty good. I did not make any screw adjusrments. As I recall they are for altidude (mountains or sea level). There are ver few moving parts in the STV.

Dom is your man for rebuilding the A-6 compressor...........no one is better.

For the drier, call Classic Auto Air in Florida or use PacecarJeff who sells on Ebay and Ebay Stores. Both will fix you up with what you need. Not certain Dom is rebuilding driers.........but the two I mentioned have a great history with this job. I personally used Jeff for my own 67 car.
