    66 Seat Bottom Nut Plate

I have a question about the seat bottom nut plates on my late April 66 AO Smith Body. It appears the rear outboard nut plates are not riveted, but instead serve as a catch plate similar to the 67 models. I only know this because one of the nut plates is missing and I do not see any rivet holes. Are the late 66 nut plates the same at the 67? I assume this to be the case but cannot find a reference to the transition from riveted plates.

Re: 66 Seat Bottom Nut Plate

I think I answered my own question. The assembly manual states that the nut plate is part number 3797431 and notes that the inboard nut is part of the underbody assembly. I found a photo from a 66 survivor undercarriage that shows the inboard and outboard rear nut plates appear to be the same but the inboard is riveted and the outboard is not.
