1974 Z07 & FE7 Shocks

I would like to get some first hand input regarding the shocks installed on the 1974 Corvette Z07 & FE7 suspension options.

There are two original owner 1974s with Z07/FE7 suspension that have noted all original shocks are of the standard type, fronts #4975167 and rears #4975168. Both cars have original build sheets with front & rear shock boxes blank.

Your help would be greatly appreciated and contribute to the accuracy of the next TIM/JGM.

I'm out-of-town and do not have access to my references. However, you should be able to find the correct original part numbers for the FE-7 shocks in the 1974 AIM.

I have the original AIM Part # for the 1974 Z07 rear shock (#4940607) the issue is my original Z07 and another original owner FE7 has the standard (#4975168) rear shocks. these cars have been in our possession since new. And since the 1974 AIM eliminated the special front shock there is a possibility the rear special shock could also have been eliminated before or early in production. So this is sort of a survey to see if there is a trend for 1974 Z07 & FE7 cars.
