I cannot believe this is not already posted here. However, I searched separately for Grossmueller and Phillipsburg, and did not find any recent discussion. This information was posted on corvetteforum.com recently. This information was copied word for word from another Corvette discussion site. I do not know if this is true.
"Grossmueller's Corvettes in Phillipsburg NJ, is closing at the end of this week. For those not familiar with Grossmueller's, they were one of the preeminent sources for 53-62 parts.
Werner Grossmueller passed away 12 years ago, and though she wasn't involved in the daily operation of the business, his widow had kept the business open till now. Apparently, she recently found a buyer for the building, who wanted to settle quickly. From what I was told, the buyer has no interest in the business, just the building, and any inventory that's still in the building next week, is going in a dumpster!
Carol, who has run the business since Werner's passing, was told ... on Friday, that she's gone at the end of the week too." ...
