Replacement for 1963 340Hp water pump.

I am looking for a replacement for 1963 340-Horsepower water pump.
I have one operating on the car now but it appears to be leaking.
It isn't the correct pump but it looks fine and has the correct 1/2 pipe nipple at the top.
Anyone have an idea for a replacement pump and where to get if from?
At this time I am not planing on purchasing an original.
I haven't been able to find one for less than $500 and I am just not going there.
The reproductions have too many issues for me.
I just need a decent cast in the USA pump with the correct 1/2 bypass.
Any suggestions or ideas are appreciated.

Rich, It's an undated 609 pump and the going $$$ is about $350.00 restored. If you are looking for an orignal car that is where you are at.

Remove your current leaking pump. Send to Arthur Gould or Bill Mock for rebuilding...........or get it rebuilt locally (if possible). Then reinstall.

Probably 2 to 3 weeks outage time.

EDIT: Or simply go to NAPA and buy a rebuilt pump without a core credit.

I used to buy the airtex pumps from Car Quest or NAPA. But I don't think it had the correction by pass fitting size.
Meanwhile the restored 609's on Ebay are major bucks.
