What do the letters stand for after the numbers on a 64? Trim 898CA and Paint 932AA.

The letters after your trim code numbers are ECL codes letting you know what options were not included with this unit. In your case, the "CA" indicates that this is a coupe, base model, not used with options A31 or M35...in other words, no power windows or automatic transmission. The AA after your paint code indicates your car was painted a single color (not two tone). All Corvettes in '64 had the "AA" after the paint code.
